Britney Spears To Return To How I Met Your Mother

Following the success of Britney Spears' first appearance on TV sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother', the popstar is returning to the show.

The singer's appearance on the hit US show last month resulted in the series' highest ratings to date.

Talking about Spears' original guest appearance the show's executive producer Carter Bays said: "I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode."

A source told People Magazine: "The show is ecstatic and so is Britney. She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back."

Speaking to Hollywood Grind about the one-episode deal, Spears' manager Larry Rudolph said: "It was a really positive experience for her. She talked about it quite a bit the last time I saw her... She wants to do it again."

Britney Spears To Release Personal Video Diaries

Britney Spears will release a series of personal video diaries on the internet, according to reports.
The Toxic hitmaker has been documenting her turbulent life through video diaries over the last six-months, and is rumoured to be releasing the emotive footage through the web or on music channel MTV.
According to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, the star lashes out at her family and friends in the videos, and criticises ex-lover R+B Justin Timberlake.
A source tell the publication, "Britney's video diaries are the talk of the Tinseltown elite. If she does decide to go public with the footage, it'll be explosive.
"Although some of it is really sad to watch, especially the parts where she is close to breakdown, others are dynamite." In 2005, the 26-year-old singer gave fan's an insight into her life in the MTV reality show Chaotic, which followed Spears' relationship and courtship with then husband Kevin Federline.

Britney Spears was caught applying make-up while navigating through busy Los Angeles traffic minutes before driving into the back of another car on Saturday night (12Apr08), according to reports.
Spears caused a three-car collision on her way home from a 30 minute drive with her bodyguard, and the motorist she hit has revealed he saw her putting on her make-up behind the wheel.
The unnamed driver tells TMZ.com he was admiring the white Mercedes behind him, and the woman putting on make-up while driving it - but didn't realise he was looking at Spears until she hit him.
The 21-year-old claims Spears' bodyguard, who was a passenger in the pop star's car, was apologetic about the crash, and as the two drivers exchanged insurance details, Britney told him she was on her way to dinner with her mother.

Britney Spears in Minor Car Accident

Britney Spears' motoring misfortunes continue. The pop star was involved in a minor traffic accident late Saturday, but no one was injured and no vehicles were damaged, authorities said.

Spears was driving her 2008 Mercedes on the eastbound Ventura Freeway just east of the 405 freeway about 8:20 p.m. when the mishap occurred, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.

Spears was in stop-and-go traffic when her car struck a 2006 Nissan in front of her that had stopped. The Nissan then pushed forward into another vehicle. No damage was noted to any of the vehicles.

The CHP took a report and no one was cited.

An after-hours e-mail sent to Spears' publicist was not returned early Sunday.

In 2006, Spears was photographed driving with her son on her lap.

A misdemeanor hit-and-run charge from an August 2007 parking lot crash was dismissed after she paid an undisclosed amount to the car's owner.

In October, she pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid driver's license and later obtained a temporary California license.
